I have been thinking about the fact that Emily is a first grader the entire summer. And, although I am very happy that she is a healthly, happy, and likes school kind of kid, etc. etc. the fact that she is growing up makes me sad.  She is such a sweet girl, and I would like her to forever live with me and never move out, but I know that first grade is another step closer to that!!! I have to try to stop thinking about it…..

isn’t she cute??? she lost her first tooth last weekend too, i seriously was teary eyed, i don’t know what i’m going to do when sophie starts losing hers!!!

plus, i’m thinking that in the next year or two, it will be too embarrassing for me to bring my camera to school to take first day of school photos, so i have to get all that i can……

and, also on my card from the weekend, Sunday was my little nephew’s first birthday, isn’t he adorable?? look at those eyes!! my brother was also really cute like that, and really got away with anything!!! blue eyes will get you everytime!!! his mama has some pretty blue eyes too, and they are expecting another baby girl……my poor brother….he is going to have to lock down on the house……..

my grandparents have a big red barn across from their house, and the middle part has picnic tables in it, and the light on this sunny day was pretty much perfect. i think that i have a similar photo of my sitting in a high chair close to this very spot…..i will have to look for it. my cake looks a little less tasty than the pretty one he had….

and, a photo i like of me and the hubby, he is so cute too……

and, this is my cousin’s little boy and my grandpa, “pap”. i know she will love having this.

and, my little stinker sophie in the dress that my grandma made for emily. she has a picture of emily wearing this hanging on her fridge, so i wanted her to have one of sophie wearing it too. i am pretty pleased with myself that i remembered this, because normally it is pure chaos when we are getting ready to go somewhere, and i forgot most everything that i should remember. i do well with last minute. tell me at the last minute…..

and, this last one is for sophie’s grandpa frank. he has been wanting some new photos, and she was inspired by this for the first day of school……. really we were at walmart getting my reading glasses prescription filled, and frankie was trying to keep her entertained. i only had my camera b/c it was the first day of school. i normally don’t take it to walmart……..

i love my new blog, i have a lot of new photos to share since i was boycotting my old blog. it was way too slow!!!
